The topic of new elemental reactions and elements is a never-ending conversation in Genshin Impact. So far, there haven’t been many new elements, but lately we’ve definitely seen a ton of new reactions—first lunar ones, and now stellar ones. And it looks like we’ll soon have a whole new wave of new elemental reactions in Genshin Impact related to the Pyro element, according to leaks. It’s definitely the most pampered element in the game, if you ask me.
These new reactions are likely related to Burgeon, Overloaded, and Swirl, and may be improvements on them, just as has already happened with the lunar and stellar reactions mentioned earlier. The truth is that those Pyro reactions are among the worst in the game, so a little tweak wouldn’t hurt at all.
On the other hand, we may be seeing the last of the new elemental reactions related to existing elements, or new versions of existing reactions. Since the Teyvat arc is beginning to draw to a close, rumors and speculation about Genshin Impact 2 are running hot, especially considering that Dawei himself said something very big would be in the works in 2027, and a new element in Genshin is truly starting to be needed.
It’s also worth noting that the leak suggests there could be more reactions affected by this that we don’t yet know about, but in that case, all we can do is wait and see. The reality is that new reactions in Genshin Impact are always a treat, especially since the game’s elemental system is one of the most striking and distinctive features of HoYoverse’s massive hit.
Finally, it’s worth noting that Noy could be part of these new reactions, as could Enjou—characters destined to be Anemo and Pyro, respectively—which means they form one of the rumored new, improved reactions around Swirl.
