Gacha games can no longer get PEGI age rating lower than 16

New regulation for gacha video games

It appears that this is a rule that has been in effect since June, if a game contains a gacha or lootbox system, it would automatically be rated 16 or higher.

In the other hand, games with daily logins won’t be able to get a rating lower than 7. And games with Paid Battle Passes will be rated 12 at minimum.

So now we know why Genshin, Wuthering Waves, and the other mainstream gacha games are adopting this new rating.

However, just how racist is this measure? Why does it happen to affect Asian games and not other that use the same system, like FIFA, sorry, EA FC?
